What Are The Most Popular Floor Plans From Homestead Homes?
With so many different floor plans and styles, we often get asked the question about which homes are our most popular models. We mostly sell our ranch-style homes.
Why Are Ranch-Style Homes So Popular?
Ranch-style homes shortly fell out of popularity in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, but came back into popularity in the late ‘90s. Ranch-style homes are also relatively affordable in today’s real estate market. They appeal to both baby boomers and young families, who prefer to avoid the steep staircases of multi-level homes. Ranch-style homes also offer a better indoor-outdoor flow, blending with the elements more easily than multi-level homes, and offering a sense of laid-back living.
What Ranch-Style Floor Plans Are Most Popular From Homestead?
The Winston home is a favorite because of its character and great floor plan. The front porch is wide enough for a swing. The entry is large and bright with a window at the front door and a coat closet. The interior is an exceptional plan with an open living room, dining room and kitchen with windows and a patio door to the rear. The stairs to the lower level can be open with a half-wall, or a full wall can be used to create more privacy. The laundry room at the garage entrance is large enough to house the pets and drop off coats. The master bedroom suite has a 6’ whirlpool, separate shower, large vanity, linen cabinet, and walk-in closet.
And a little note from one of our home designers? The Winston has the best laundry room with a good-sized window to let in lots of natural light. That’s a room I wouldn’t mind doing laundry in!
The Oak Park is a simple home that can be easily changed to meet your needs and tastes. The front porch can be modified with brick, stone, or cedar columns to completely change the look. The garage is oversized and set back from the front of the home. Inside, the living room is to the front with a large picture window to take advantage of the front yard. The kitchen with the computer center becomes the focus of daily living with access to the laundry room, lower level stairs, and garage. Or open up that wall with our optional kitchen layout with an angled eating bar. The ease of construction found in this three bedroom, two bath home makes it a popular choice.
The Matthew design is popular because it meets the needs of so many families. The kitchen is open to the dining room and living room, making this area feel large. An optional kitchen layout is also available. The bedrooms are ample sized with a main bath. The master bedroom suite has a large window, a walk-in closet, and a grand bath. Charming curb appeal and a functional family plan make this house a popular choice.
The Xavier is one home with two floorplans to choose from. Both plans have the same features, but one has the master bedroom separated from the other bedrooms, the other plan keeps the bedrooms together. Both feature the raised covered front porch that can be dressed up with some stone or brick or with our optional front elevation with a half-round window and sidelight at the front door. The front bedrooms feature box-out windows. The L-shaped kitchen has an angled bar and pantry cabinet. Both master baths have a window, large vanity, and linen closet. The Xavier gives you choices and lets you be creative.
