“Dennis found the ad in the paper and said we should look into it because it’s only $200. I said ‘Get out, that can’t be right!’ We talked to the people at Homestead and in the end, all we put down was $200 for the credit report,” says Cindy. “We weren’t sure we could do this but at the same time we were anxious to get started.”
“The whole group at Homestead was professional and expedient. They encouraged us and motivated us to get things done. We felt good about the service we received from them,” says Dennis. Cindy continues, “I could call first thing Monday morning and get current reports so we knew exactly where we were with our budget at all times and that made it easier. There will always be glitches when you’re building a new home, but we didn’t have anything that went unresolved and it was always handled in a timely manner.”
“We earned around $225,000 in equity in six months,” says Dennis. “We couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity that Homestead allowed us to take a dream to reality. We have already accepted an offer on a parcel of land about 300 yards from here so we can build another one. We’ll sell that house and should earn close to $600,000 or perhaps a little more. For us to take $200 and turn it into $200,000 in one year’s time and then start the process again . . . that’s incredible!”
Cindy concludes by saying, “Our home is awesome – the whole place is unique. People should know that they can take one of Homestead’s plans and then make enough changes to make it their home. I love my home and the fact that we did it ourselves!” |
